Can we count on you to become a pillar of the movement by investing a few bucks a month?

power the movement with $10/month!

John,

As soon as we realized the pandemic was going to upend the lives of our loved ones and wreak havoc on incarcerated people, we knew we had to jump in to protect the most vulnerable people.

We didn’t wait. We took action. Within the first few days, Color Of Change launched a nationwide campaign demanding elected officials at every level immediately implement a humane plan to protect incarcerated people and corporations end all practices that unjustly harm people behind bars and their families.

Within two days, 75 partner organizations stood with us, more than 20,000 Color Of Change members like you, John, signed the petition, our fight was gaining steam on social media, and we helped local community groups launch more than 20 campaigns across the country to bring the fight locally.

And even though we’ve had some victories, the fight continues to this day, and beyond.

I’m going to be honest, John — this has been an unprecedented time for Color Of Change. We have launched more campaigns in the first half of this year than I can remember in my 5 years of running the Criminal Justice department. But this is why we’re here. Because elected officials, Black and Brown communities, and people just like you are relying on us to show up in these moments. You’re relying on us to provide you with strategic ways to take action about the injustices you see in the world.

And we need your help to power this ship. As long as we’re here and you’re in the fight with us, corporations, and elected officials alike, will be held accountable.

John, we're winning in our fight to hold corporations accountable to Black lives. Will you make a monthly investment of $10 a month to power the movement you helped create?

John, you may have already noticed that Color Of Change isn’t afraid to call out corporations and elected officials whenever we see injustices toward Black people. Like when GoFundMe allowed the killers of Ahmaud Arbery to raise money on their platform. And we got their fundraising pages taken down. Or when prison phone companies exploit incarcerated people. And we fought in Dallas to reduce the jail phone rate by 95%. Or when Judge Mary Ellen Brennan jailed a 15-year-old Black girl for not doing her homework. And we fought to get her released.

And because we fight unabashedly for Black communities, we don’t take money from corporations or elected officials. We refuse to trade money for silence on racism. This is why we need you in the fight with us. We can’t risk losing this momentum in our movement that you helped us fight to get.
