This month, the anti-abortion fake clinic network Care Net is moving ahead with its annual in-person conference in Orlando, Florida. What’s worse than gathering hundreds of people where the coronavirus pandemic is spiking? Doing so in the name of ‘protecting life.’ Take action here.

The reproductive justice framework is significant because it emphasizes the need to consider the holistic health of mothers and their families. In this webinar, health experts will give brief presentations that cover four imperatives for maternal health and wellbeing. Topics included are the importance of birth control access; the importance of and need to extend perinatal care; how the legal system interferes with healthy pregnancies & childbirth; and economic concerns that hinder people's ability to decide if and when to have a child, and parent them safely. Panelists include Mandy Hagseth, Director of Policy and Advocacy at Missouri Family Health Council; Tru Kellman, Founding Director of Jamaa Birth Village; Attorney Stephanie Kraft-Sheley; and Erin Matson, Co-Founder and Co-Director of Reproaction.

Check-in with your loved ones. This month, I am making an effort to reach out to my friends and loved ones. With cooler temperatures on the way, it's the perfect time to schedule a digital hangout, send a postcard, or have a quick phone call. - Caitlin, Organizing Lead

Take a nap! I know we all hated naps as children, but naps are glorious as adults. Even if you don’t fall asleep, 15-20 minutes to lie down and relax in the afternoon can help you get through your day. Want something to do? Try to start a morning and night routine! I find that my days are much better when I have a soothing yet energizing way to start my mornings. I try to incorporate some sort of movement right away when I wake up, whether that means a quick walk around the block with my dog (masks on!) or doing some light stretching to warm up my body. After this, I like to spend at least 15 minutes journaling and preparing myself for the day. I like to write down my intentions for the day or just what's been on my mind. I find that this helps me unload some mental stress and helps me move on with my day. - Nataley, Wisconsin Organizer
