We set out to close some of the gap with Greg Cunningham's side, and we didn't get there. That stings, but more importantly, it puts us in a tough spot heading into our final major FEC reporting deadline before Election Day at the end of the month.

Here's why it matters: Cunningham's campaign is backed by Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson and GOP leadership, whose political arm has poured hundreds of thousands into this race alone.

Every dollar they spend goes toward one thing: drowning out our message before voters make up their minds.

When we fall short, the silence on our end gets louder. Voters will hear their ads nonstop and their version of my record, while we don't have the resources to fight back.
