We don’t need to tell you about Trump’s hypocrisy with golf — the man plays just about every chance he can get. But his latest trip to the links is just another example of how little he actually cares about his duties as President of the United States.

Let’s start from the top.

First, President Trump canceled his trip to Poland, which was meant to mark the start of the Second World War. He claimed that he needed to stay in Washington to monitor Hurricane Dorian as it barrelled toward Puerto Rico and Florida this weekend.

Then we find out that President Trump decided to play golf. What makes it even worse is that he went to his own golf course, using our government's money to enrich himself.

Why does this matter?

It matters because in times of crisis, folks look to their leaders for hope, leadership, and solutions. They need to know they are focused on helping them through these difficult times, and doing everything in their power to bring the whole authority of government to respond.

This is something President Trump has time and again refused to do.

Our country deserves better, and in 2020 we’re going to show folks from Anchorage to Bangor, from Des Moines to Manchester, from San Francisco to Tallahassee, and everywhere in between what a real leader looks like. And we’re confident that when people see it, Donald Trump will have a lot more time to play golf.

Thanks for being a part of this fight with us.
