In just seven days, voters in North Carolina’s 9th congressional district will head to the polls to cast their ballot for their next member of Congress, and Democrats have unfinished business. This is the seat where massive absentee ballot fraud by Republicans resulted in no winner in the 2018 election, forcing a special election.

It’s a critical chance to flip another seat from red to blue and elect Democrat Dan McCready to join me in Congress, so he can fight for the people of North Carolina.

According to the latest non-partisan polls, Dan has a slight lead over his GOP opponent -- but President Trump just jumped in and endorsed the Republican candidate, giving him a last-minute boost. Republicans are going to pull out all the stops to win (hopefully without breaking the law this time), because a loss would send a clear signal that 2020 will be no better than 2018 for Republican incumbents.
