LACoFD HOSTS 2026 AIRCRAFT MEDIA DAY

 

*WHAT:        
*Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone will host the annual Aircraft Media Day to provide important updates on the 2026 wildfire season. 

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) will showcase its robust aerial fleet, highlighting the seasonal arrival of two CL-415 SuperScoopers from the Government of Québec – marking the 33rd consecutive year of this lifesaving partnership.  Additionally, the LACoFD will feature its Boeing Chinook CH-47 Helitanker 55, contracted through a joint initiative with Southern California Edison.

Officials will also review crucial community safety tools, including the "Ready! Set! Go!" program [ [link removed] ], along with Genasys Protect – Know Your Zone [ [link removed] ], designed to keep residents informed about the status of a wildfire threatening their community.
