Critical clean air protections are in jeopardy. The Trump EPA is unlawfully asking their allies in Congress to gut a lifesaving clean air protection: California’s nation-leading clean car and truck standards that improve air quality and save consumers money at the gas pump.

That’s why we need your help.

California’s clean car standards are so effective that more than a dozen other states have already adopted them!

That’s because they’re designed to do two things: put more clean cars on the road and stop smog — a powerful lung irritant that can worsen asthma, decrease lung function and even lead to premature death. 

With these standards in place across the nation, auto-manufacturers are incentivized to deliver cleaner, cheaper cars for consumers, a choice that provides healthier air for millions of people across the country! 
 
But if they’re unlawfully repealed, vulnerable populations like children, the elderly and low-income communities will feel the full impact of tailpipe pollution — leading to worse public health outcomes and higher healthcare costs. 

We need to defend these critical safeguards for public health! Take one minute to message your members of Congress and urge them to vote against these disastrous proposals!
