## **$130,390,661**

That’s how much Scottie Scheffler has taken home in career PGA Tour earnings after winning the Tour Championship on Sunday. The 30-year-old Scheffler entered the event trailing Tiger Woods for No. 1 on the career earnings list by less than $1 million. By shooting a 16-under for the tournament, he added $10 million to his total and [shot past Woods]([link removed]), who earned nearly $121 million over his career. Rory McIlroy, who shot an 11-under, sits in third on the career earnings list with almost $118 million.

## Taking Bets on Prediction Markets

_**“This is sports betting.”**_

—Nevada Gaming Control Board chairman Mike Dreitzer after a federal appeals court Friday ruled that Nevada can enforce its state gaming laws against Kalshi. Nevada had already won preliminary injunctions blocking the prediction-market platform from offering sports-event contracts in the state. Dreitzer views sports-event contracts as no different than betting, and says they should be “properly regulated by the state.”

The appeals court decision increases the likelihood that the issue will [end up before the Supreme Court]([link removed]), as a separate appeals court ruled in April that New Jersey’s gaming regulator could not block Kalshi from operating there.
