Wish they weren't here? Hunting trophies aren’t souvenirs!

Hello John,
Before coming into power, Labour promised to ban hunting trophy imports. Two years on, they have failed to deliver.
They have failed the British public. Failed the wild animals, such as elephants, lions, leopards and giraffes that continue to be killed for so-called sport every year.
TAKE ACTION TODAY ([link removed])
In 2024, the Labour Party made a manifesto commitment to ban the import of hunting trophies to the UK. However, like a delayed flight, the British public and animals have been left waiting for the Government to act. Since Labour came to power, permits for the import of at least 33 hunting trophies from threatened species that are protected under international law have been issued.
33 trophies, 33 lives cut short. A wild animal reduced to a prize. A promise left undelivered.
The British public has waited long enough. The ban is overwhelmingly supported across the nation; it even carries cross-party support. Some European countries have already introduced import bans. So, what is the UK government waiting for? How many more wild animals have to die before action will be taken? They should not have to pay the price of political inaction.
A wild animal is not a prize. A life is not a trophy. A body part is not a holiday souvenir.
Labour must honour its promise.
