From Our EDC Democrats Virtual Office
Just as it’s true it takes a whole village to raise a child, it is also true it takes an incredible amount of dedicated volunteers to move a time-sensitive project from start to finish.
Our latest such project targeted 5,200 “lapsed democratic voters.” In partnership with the California Away Team, this project came to life under the direction of Sue Gamache and Shabbir Safdar.
Directing a corps of volunteers from many different Democratic and affiliated organizations, these volunteers not only took on writing personalized letters to our lapsed democratic voters, they also supplied the paper, envelopes, and frequently the postage for this project!
An elaborate check-in and check out system was developed and with the help of Pat Ghiglieri was tasked with personally contacting the letter writers who still held the last 14% of the letters! Whew! What a job!
Only due to the enthusiasm, passion, and perseverance that our volunteers are able to provide, have we been able to complete another awesome project!
