We are so excited to share the news that Speaker Nancy Pelosi is launching the Sojourner Truth Women’s Vote Project to help galvanize the women’s vote for a big win this November that takes back the White House, takes back the Senate, and grows our Democratic House Majority -- For The People!

In marking the 100th Anniversary of the adoption of the 19th Amendment and in recognition of the too-seldom celebrated but critical role of heroic Black women abolitionists and suffragists in that great achievement, we are honoring the legacy of Sojourner Truth with a series of virtual events focused on voter education, registration, and mobilization. With Speaker Pelosi’s leadership, we will be guided on this journey by outstanding policy makers and stakeholders with expertise and extensive records of service to the cause of securing and enlarging access to the vote for all Americans.
In our series, we will tackle the obstacles to voting that are being put up by this Administration with the facts, a strategy to overcome them, and the tools voters need to make a plan to vote and to vote as early as possible to ensure that their vote is counted as cast!
In the shadow of the coronavirus and a struggling economy, we will also address the reasons why we all need to vote as if our very lives, livelihoods, and the life of our democracy depend on it -- because they do. Of course, we plan to have a bit of fun as well over the next 8 weeks. Stay tuned!
