Tomorrow at midnight we face our first fundraising deadline. The general election. This is our first deadline up against a MAGA opponent who will have the backing of National Republicans and super PACs behind him. And truthfully, this deadline is a huge test for our campaign.

You already know that the stakes of this election couldn’t be higher — not just for me, but for the future of our democracy.

Wannabe authoritarian Donald Trump and his Republican allies supporting him have started a full-out attack against working families. They’ve gutted healthcare subsidies, targeted our rights and freedoms, and are doing everything they can to stay in power. They even launched a sham investigation into me to kick me out of Congress so they won’t be held accountable.

Now they’re fighting just as hard to protect their razor-thin House majority. They know one of the easiest ways to do that is by defeating me and flipping this seat.

That’s why this deadline is such a turning point for our campaign. It’s our first chance to show my opponent that we have the grassroots strength to take him and his allies on and the resources to withstand the attacks he’s sending my way.
