My name is Angie Nixon. I am the Democratic nominee for Florida's Senate
race. In one month, I will stand trial. I face 2 years prison.

This is my story.

Three months ago, I staged a sit-in outside of Ron DeSantis' office.

I was protesting the Jim Crow gerrymander that Republicans shoved through
the state house within hours of the Louisiana v. Callais ruling. A ruling
that was plainly intended to stop Republicans from being thrown out of
office during the midterms and eliminate Black representation.

If you want a senator who will stand up to powerful interests no matter

They handcuffed me and charged me with resisting an officer and
trespassing (see pic above). The maximum sentence if convicted is two
years in prison.

If they think the threat of a trial is going to make me back down, they
picked the wrong woman.

Last week, I became the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Florida
in a stunning political upset.

Republicans are going to do every single thing they can to stop me from
beating them in November -- including throwing me in prison if they can.

I am emailing you today to respectfully ask you to help me shove this
blatant abuse of power back in their face.
