LABOR DAY STATEMENT FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF NEW MEXICO CHAIRMAN

ALBUQUERQUE, SEPTEMBER 7 — The Republican Party of New Mexico wants to take this opportunity to pay tribute and to honor the American worker on this Labor Day. It’s important to recognize the economic and social achievements of our workforce here in New Mexico and around the nation.

“Labor Day reminds all of us of the dedicated workers who have made our country the great land of opportunity and success that it is today,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce. “It’s been a particularly difficult past eight months with COVID-19, and many of our businesses have suffered here in the state. They are the heartbeat of New Mexico’s economy, and it’s imperative that we fully reopen New Mexico so our hardworking residents can continue to prosper and get our state moving again. We all owe a great debt of gratitude to these workers, and their struggles and commitment at this time should be realized. Our workers make our economy and New Mexico grow. I and our Party thank all of them on this Labor Day, a special day of recognition.”
