Dear John,

On Labor Day, we thank American workers, who are the backbone of our economy and the foundation of our strength, and salute the labor movement which has fought to secure the 40-hour workweek, fair wages and overtime, workplace safety, family leave and the right to collective bargaining. We are proud that the middle class has a union label on it.

Your House Democratic majority has passed a $15 federal minimum wage, paycheck fairness for women, legislation to protect pensions and landmark bills lowering health care costs, increasing paychecks and rebuilding America's infrastructure, and the PRO Act to strengthen collective bargaining, give workers the power to override 'right to work' laws, and stop employers from meddling in union elections. Sadly all of these are trapped on Mitch McConnell's desk and Trump's anti-labor Labor Department. With your help, this can change.

During this difficult moment, we will continue to fight for our frontline workers, state and local communities, and public health, vital to defeating this virus and lifting up an economy that works for all.

Thank you,

Nancy
