Patriot,
My name is Rick Jackson, and I'm humbled and honored to be Georgia’s
Republican nominee for Governor.
But before you hear one more word about my campaign, I want you to know where
I actually started… because it's the whole reason I’m reaching out today.

I was 12 years old.
In the back of a taxi.
My uncle paid the fare.
I was headed to a state juvenile home. And here's the part people don't
expect… I asked to go there.Myself.
I grew up in Techwood Homes, a public housing project in Atlanta. My father
left before my first birthday. My mother raised me alone while fighting
alcoholism. She was a good woman when she was sober, but sober wasn't something
she was very often.
Eventually, something had to give.
So when I was 12, I chose the unknown over the chaos.

Eventually, a family in Georgia, people who owed me nothing, took me in.
For the first time, I had a bed of my own and a table where someone expected
me at dinner.Just a shot at something better.
I didn't grow up with money, or connections, or a name that opened doors. What
I had were people who showed up for me when they didn't have to.
So when I finally got a chance to build something of my own, I held onto that.
After dropping out of college, I scraped together everything I had and bought
the small staffing company I was working for. I’ve owned my own business ever
since, and today I staff hospitals and help take care of patients nationwide.
But I never forgot where I came from.
That's why I fought to pass a law that gives every foster kid in Georgia free
college tuition…so kids with stories like mine get a shot at their American
Dream.
It's why I stepped up to help Governor Kemp get Georgia through COVID.
It's why I bought America’s last antibiotic manufacturing plant when Communist
China threatened the United States…because I know exactly what it feels like
when the people in charge don't think about the everyman until it's too late.
Now I have something even bigger to carry:
This November, Georgia makes a choice between a Governor who fights for people
who feel forgotten, or Keisha Lance Bottoms, a career politician who left
Atlanta with a crime wave and higher costs behind her.

Here's what I'll do as Georgia’s next governor:
I’ll freeze property taxes and then I’ll work to reduce them.
I’ll cut the state income tax in half… or I won’t run again.
I’ll audit every single part of state government.
And if you feel like the system’s forgotten you, I'll always be in your corner
fighting for you.
I never thought I’d be doing this, but I’m taking ACTION now because I know
what it feels like to need somebody in your corner, and I’m ready to WIN BIG
for all of Georgia.
Will you join me in this fight to give power back to the hardworking people
who built this country? >>
