I'd like to wish you and your family a safe and happy Labor Day. As you spend time with loved ones today, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices, past and present, made by many in the workplace and through the labor movement to ensure workers receive adequate health and safety standards, an honest wage for an honest day's work, an 8 hour work day, paid sick leave, and other workplace rights.

 

Today, it's particularly important that we recognize essential workers - first responders, healthcare workers, and others who have responded to the pandemic with courage and sacrifice. Thank you for all that you've done for your communities during this critical time.
