I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Labor Day. This Labor Day holds even more significance than in past years.

Today we thank and celebrate the essential workers who have tirelessly been working to support Americans these past few months, the healthcare workers who have put their lives on the line to fight this pandemic, and the postal service workers who have been delivering essential supplies and mail-in ballots to keep our democracy running.

Especially now, I want to thank our front-line workers that are fighting the devastating fires in California day in and day out. We have a lot to be grateful for today.

So I ask you to take a moment with me today to thank the workers across the country who have been fighting for us during these trying times. Let’s use today as a chance to reflect on the progress we’ve made and all the work that still needs to be done.

I hope you have a wonderful and safe Labor Day.
