John,
A South Philly babysitter. A 68-year-old grandmother. Neighbors who did everything right and still ended up in ICE custody, just for flying out of PHL.
Kenyatta passed Philadelphia's ICE Out legislation because our city-owned spaces shouldn’t be a hunting ground for federal agents. Now the city needs to make sure that law actually gets enforced.
We have a $6,000 goal to hit before the month ends, and we're still a few thousand short. Can you chip in $10 to help Kenyatta keep fighting for immigrant families in Philadelphia?

John,
At least 10 people have been arrested by ICE at Philadelphia International Airport since mid-July, including a grandmother and a young babysitter from South Philly who was pulled off a flight and shipped across the country to a detention center in New Mexico.
With August coming to a close, I need to raise $6,000 to keep fighting for our immigrant neighbors and to hold the federal government accountable when it ignores our laws. Can you chip in $10 before the month ends?

This is exactly why I fought to pass Philadelphia's ICE Out legislation, which bars ICE from operating on city-owned property without a judicial warrant. The airport is owned by this city. ICE shouldn't be there.
Philadelphia is only as strong as how we treat our most vulnerable neighbors. I'll keep pushing to close every loophole ICE tries to exploit in our city — but I need your support to do it.
Can I count on you to chip in $10 before August ends to keep Philadelphia a place where families don't have to fear flying home?
For Philadelphia,
Council President Kenyatta Johnson
