For remote communities, reaching a health facility can mean hours of travel— if care is available at all . That puts expecting mothers, new mothers, and girls at serious risk.

But when a UNFPA mobile clinic arrives, care arrives with it.

Women receive prenatal checkups. Families access nutrition screening, counseling, and immunizations. Girls and women can ask questions about family planning and reproductive healthcare in a trusted setting. And when emergencies happen, referrals and transport are there.

Nearby, UNFPA maternal health clinics have already delivered more than 1,861 prenatal visits and more than 853 safe births . And a new UNFPA Safe Space will offer survivors of violence counseling, skills training, and support as they rebuild.

But with only one mobile clinic serving the area, too many women and girls still go without access to care.
