With reproductive rights, voting access, and fundamental freedoms under threat from MAGA Republicans, governors can serve as a crucial line of defense. EMILYs List is backing 11 women for governor to help build a firewall in states across the country.

4. Attorneys general, secretaries of state, and state supreme court justices will decide how elections are run in 2026 and beyond. These down-ballot races rarely get national attention, but these offices play critical roles in protecting voting rights, administering elections, and defending our freedoms in court.

5. After a clean sweep across New Jersey and Virginia in 2025, we're not slowing down. Those wins proved what we've known for decades: Recruiting, training, and supporting Democratic pro-choice women is a winning strategy. Now, we're taking that same approach into races nationwide to build Democratic power at every level.

From the state House to the U.S. Senate, every one of these candidates is counting on the support of this grassroots community to get over the finish line.
