It’s National Suicide Prevention Week! #KeepGoing!
Yesterday was the start of National Suicide Prevention Week: a week to take action, support one another, and shine a spotlight on the things we can all do to save lives. In the era of COVID-19, as we manage our own mental well-being in the face of uncertainty, it’s more important than ever that we be kind to ourselves, and #KeepGoing.
Each day this week, we’ll be highlighting a simple, actionable step that everyone can take – from learning the warning signs for suicide, to having a #RealConvo with someone you care about – to increase awareness and help save lives. You don’t have to be a mental health professional to make a difference, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Throughout the week we also urge you to contact your U.S. Representative through the AFSP Action Center and urge the passage of the National Suicide Hotline Designation Act.
