On Labor Day, we gather with friends and family to celebrate the labor movement that has won rights for workers across the country. This year, our celebrations won’t look the same, just as working in America hasn’t looked the same since this pandemic began. But it's more important than ever that we recognize the efforts of laborers and workers that keep our country going.

As a labor union member and a small business owner, I understand the issues that workers are faced with: safety protections, healthcare coverage, paid leave, and other employee rights are essential.

That’s why I have been a fierce advocate for rights to a fair and safe work environment during this pandemic and beyond. That dedication has earned me endorsements from major labor groups like AFSCME Councils 5 and 65 and United Steelworkers Local 63.

We are a nation of workers, so let's honor all of the labor we have put in to help our country thrive. I hope to soon take that enthusiasm and turn it into action by flipping this seat blue so that I can give workers the representation they deserve in Congress.
