Good morning, John. It’s Congressman Eugene Vindman.

I’m going to be upfront with you: By the end of this email, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign.

Now, I’d bet you didn’t wake up on a Saturday morning thinking, “Today is the day I’m going to donate to Eugene Vindman.”

And I understand that. You have plenty of other things going on.

So give me 30 seconds, and let me explain why I’m asking.

Virginia’s 7th District is one of the most important House races in the country this November.

Republicans have made that very clear. They’ve put me on their target list and have been pummeling me with attacks since I entered office. And now that they officially nominated a MAGA opponent to run against me, National Republicans, Super PACs, and MAGA mega-donors are lining up behind him.

They want this seat. They want to defeat me. And they want to hold onto their razor-thin House majority.

I know what happens when powerful people decide they want to silence you. I’ve lived it. I blew the whistle on Donald Trump’s attempt to pressure Ukraine, and I held him accountable for his call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He retaliated against me both times for telling the truth.

But I’m not going to be intimidated by his attacks now. And I’m certainly not going to let his MAGA allies decide who represents the people of Virginia’s 7th District.

But standing up to them takes resources. So I need your help to power this campaign, especially before our end-of-month fundraising deadline on Monday.
