Happy Labor Day, John.

Today is a time to celebrate the unions and the workers who have tirelessly fought for better wages, better hours, better retirement, and better working conditions.

Of course, I would be remiss to not acknowledge that work looks a lot different these days.

I want to thank the frontline workers who are keeping our country going during these difficult times: the health care providers, first responders, grocery store clerks, postal workers, sanitation workers, caretakers, and so many others. They are putting their lives on the line day in, day out to keep the rest of us safe, and we're so grateful for their tireless service.

I want to thank the workers who have made necessary but often difficult adjustments to transition from going into an office every day to working from home -- particularly teachers and working parents who are juggling taking care of children and working from home at the same time.

And I want to recognize the millions of workers who have lost their jobs in the wake of the pandemic and are figuring out how to pay their bills, keep their homes, and take care of their families.

We need to do better for all workers.

But right now, we have a president who has spearheaded an anti-worker agenda throughout his four years in the White House. President Trump has failed workers -- from a tax plan that gave handouts to the wealthiest in our country while leaving American workers behind to leading the charge to eliminate the Affordable Care Act and health care for more than 20 millions Americans.

We urgently need to take action on COVID-19 relief legislation and extend unemployment benefits. We need to raise the minimum wage and lower the cost of prescription drugs. We need to protect Medicare and Social Security from Trump's threats to cut them. And we need to rebuild our infrastructure and invest in a clean-energy economy to create new, good-paying jobs.

We can do all of that by sending Democrats to resounding victories this November -- and that includes sending Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House.

But we can't do it without hardworking and dedicated grassroots supporters like you, John.

All the best --

TC
