I just wanted to send over a quick note to say Happy Labor Day! 

Organized labor is the foundation of the Northwest Indiana economy.  The women and men of labor have not only built our roads, bridges, and buildings, they have built the strength and health of our communities.  It is because of their commitment to workers and our region that we have made so many advances to improve worker safety, healthcare, and retirement security.  

As your Member of Congress, I will work as hard as our union brothers and sisters work every day, and will fight to continue to show all of our workers the respect and dignity they deserve.
