Hi there,
This Labor Day holds even more significance that it has in previous years.
Today, I want to thank the essential workers who have been working tirelessly to support our community throughout this pandemic. I want to thank the postal workers for keeping our democracy running by delivering mail-in ballots and other essential items like prescription drugs. I want to thank the healthcare workers, who have put their lives on the line to help all Americans.
While today’s celebration might not look the same as it has in previous years, we have a lot to be grateful for and so many essential workers to thank.
This Labor Day is a reminder for me to find new solutions to help American workers and labor unions, to explore ways I can create and protect good-paying jobs, and to support the backbone of our economy. I’ll keep fighting on behalf of New Jersey in Washington, D.C. and I look forward to the progress we will make together.
But today, I want you to take some time with me to reflect on how far we’ve come and where we can go — and take a moment to thank the essential workers who have helped us along the way.
I hope you and your family are having a safe and happy Labor Day.
Yours,
Josh
