Happy Labor Day!
Today we honor the labor movement and their victories, like the weekend and shorter working hours. This Labor Day, it’s especially important to recognize our labor unions and organizations that continue to fight for our workers and their families during this pandemic. Now more than ever, I’m proud to stand with our labor brothers and sisters.
In the House of Delegates, I’ve been proud to stand with our unions by voting for bills that raise the minimum wage and protect Virginia’s unions. During the special session, I’ve also introduced legislation to secure PPE and hazard pay for our essential workers.
I come from a family of union members, and I will always continue to fight for our unions as your Lieutenant Governor.
