Happy Labor Day! Workers rights are important and we have unions to thank for the weekend, the forty hour work week, paid time off, and much more! Virginia, however, is currently ranked #51 for workers rights and the "Right to Work" law makes it difficult for workers to organize to improve their pay and working conditions. Show your support for the labor movement today by writing to your Virginia legislators to repeal the so-called "Right to Work" law [[link removed]] . An additional thank you to everyone who came to our general body meeting this past week. We successfully passed a new AYD Constitutional Amendment [[link removed]] as well as our Resolution on Police Demilitarization, Oversight and Accountability [[link removed]] and our Resolution on Racial Justice [[link removed]] .
