Team -
Did you know in 28 states and D.C. childcare costs more than a year of public college? And yes, Minnesota is on the list.
The cost of childcare today is through the roof, which means parents are having to choose between financial security or finding care for their young ones. Or for a lot of young adults, whether to have kids at all.
We need to change the conversation on childcare to help our country's future, which is why I'm teaming up with a group of legislators and progressive groups to demand Congress take action. But we need your voice too to make this a national priority.
Friend, I'm counting on you to be one of the voices we need telling Congress to take action on making childcare affordable for working families. Add your name right now >>

There is so much that Congress can do to make affordable childcare a reality for working families across the country.
This means expanding access to affordable preschool and pre-K, funding a tax relief to reimburse the cost of childcare and paid family leave, and making sure childcare workers are paid a living wage.
There are too many families in Minnesota and our country who are struggling to find affordable, quality childcare. It's up to Congress to make a difference.
Let's lift up our voices for families. Will you join me in urging Congress to make affordable childcare a priority when session reconvenes?
Together, we can do this,
Tina
U.S. Senator Tina Smith is running for re-election in 2020 in a race NBC News has already labeled a “race to watch” with Donald Trump targeting Minnesota for victory. Make sure she has the resources to fight back.
