DEVELOPING…the right-wing operatives responsible for the Swift Boat ads that helped sink John Kerry's campaign in 2004 have just formed a new super PAC and begun a $30 million ad blitz in key states, according to reports. GOP megadonor and casino mogul Sheldon Adelson and Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus are expected to give big.
The details are still coming together, but commercials from the Super PAC are slated to air in Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, Iowa, and Georgia —
all key battleground states.
We need to adjust quickly — but we need your help. We are hoping to air tv ads across the country and are preparing a major vote-by-mail campaign to reach environmental voters —
but none of this is possible without you.
The absolute best thing you can do to help right now is make an emergency gift to fund this work. Every contribution will be triple matched and even $3 can make a difference »
Just over a week ago at the Republican National convention we were reminded that Donald Trump's approach to the pandemic, the climate crisis, the movement for Black lives, and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression has been the same:
Denial of responsibility, denial of justice, and denial of reality.
This can't continue for another four years. To make matters worse, Trump gained 4 points after the RNC.
This is bad, really bad, friend.
With just 57 days remaining we are ramping up all our efforts to prevent the recently-added members of the Dirty Dozen from taking office in the Senate, and the dirtiest of all time, Donald Trump, from four more years in the Oval Office. For nearly 25 years, our Dirty Dozen program has targeted and defeated candidates who side against the environment and are running in races in which the environmental movement has a serious chance to affect the outcome.
We can't take four more years of Trump's America.
Please, friend, make an emergency gift to LCV Victory Fund today — even $3 will make a difference.
Amid a summer of a global pandemic, racial unrest, and environmental disasters; Trump continues to preach "law and order" to his supporters, while siding against justice. If we don't remove him from office in November, we lose a shot at enacting policies that put people most impacted by injustice, pollution, and climate change — communities of color, Indigenous communities, and low-wealth communities — at the center of policy solutions. And ultimately, we lose our shot at leaving a livable planet for future generations.
Only together can we win this fight. Please, pitch in to LCV Victory Fund today. Everything is on the line.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your persistence in this fight.
Sincerely,
Pete Maysmith
