Hey John,

I know for many of you, and myself included, Labor Day has looked a little different than most years. Normally you might have gathered with friends or family to honor American unions who've fought hard for workers' rights and built America’s middle class.

Today, I’m especially inspired by the incredible line workers who worked around the clock here in Iowa to restore power to families after the powerful derecho ripped through our communities. I’m also thankful for our postal workers who work rain or shine to connect us to the rest of the world.

For all our workers: we need to keep pushing for a living wage, better working conditions, and health care. You can watch my Labor Day statement (outside one of the smallest post offices I’ve ever seen!) by clicking here. [[link removed]]

Standing Tall for All,

J.D.
