Breaking Point: live briefing and report launch, September 10

Outright International. New report, September 2026. Breaking Point: The Urgent Need to Invest in Global LGBTIQ Movements. ([link removed] )

LIVE BRIEFING · THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2026

12:00 p.m. New York · 60 minutes on Zoom

Hi John,

“How do we stand on our own without the support of funders or the government?”

A program manager at Kebaya, a trans women-led organization in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, put that question to our researchers. Funding cuts in 2025 took Kebaya’s staff from eleven to three, in a context where trans women are largely excluded from formal employment.

On September 10, Outright International publishes Breaking Point: The Urgent Need to Invest in Global LGBTIQ Movements ([link removed] ) , the largest global assessment to date of how the loss of funding in 2025, particularly the U.S. withdrawal of foreign assistance, has affected LGBTIQ movements, human rights, and development.

Join the researchers who ran the survey and the activists responding to the results for a one-hour briefing.
