Friend --

As we prepare to observe Labor Day, and celebrate the working men and women who have built our country and economy, here's a sad truth: Too many Americans cannot afford housing.

Over the last month, I traveled all across Washington state, talking with families hit by skyrocketing rent and home prices, and the evidence is clearer than ever: We are facing an affordable housing crisis in this country, and if we don't take bold action now, things will only get worse.

This Labor Day weekend, please join me in calling on the Senate to act to support affordable housing! Add your name today. >>

Right now, there's a clear solution available to us that can increase investment in affordable housing and bring security to the Americans who need it. We need to expand the Affordable Housing Tax Credit.

It's a bipartisan tax credit that has helped finance millions of rental housing units for American families. Just a few weeks ago, I had the honor of visiting with Washingtonians who -- if not for this tax credit -- might not have a roof over their heads.

Every American deserves to have access to affordable housing. When the Senate returns in September, I'll be demanding action, and I hope you'll join me.

Before Labor Day, will you join me in demanding action to solve America's housing crisis? Call for affordable housing today!
