| , East Texas workers are the engine that drives our economy and deserve to be recognized, not just today, but every day. Now more than ever, we need somebody who isn’t afraid to step up and protect working families. East Texas has been left behind for too long. Organized labor has been kneecapped by right-to-work, making it easier for out-of-state corporations to lower wages and benefits and eliminate workplace safety regulations. Louie Gohmert has turned a blind eye to dangerous, unsanitary working conditions at our meatpacking plants -- and let big companies take advantage of working families. We need to protect working people, not exploit them. We need to fight for higher wages, affordable healthcare, and the protections workers need -- especially during these challenging times.
