Brothers, sisters and friends, I want to wish you and your families a happy Labor Day. I know this year Labor Day will be nothing like our celebrations of the past. Many parades are canceled, backyard barbecues will likely be smaller or not even held this year.

But while we may not be together, we are still united as a union and as a movement.

This Labor Day we celebrate workers – especially essential workers like BCTGM members - as we stand together to demand change on a scale that we have not seen in decades.

We have the power to create the fair and just society that we deserve. And that means making our voices heard loud and clear on election day.

As you celebrate with your brothers and sisters this Labor Day, however that looks in your world, take care to remind them how much is at stake this year—from our collective bargaining rights and pensions, to dignity and respect on the job.

Victory in November will be delivered by working people like you and me. More than anyone, you have the ability to win hearts and minds and ensure that working people have a say in the future of our country.

Have a wonderful Labor Day!

In solidarity,

Anthony
