Join us TODAY at Burbank Unified School District (1900 W Olive Ave, Burbank) at 11am on Labor Day – Monday, September 7th – to stand with union members and DSA chapters across the state to demand a just recovery for the working class and the passage of Prop. 15! Fatima’s grassroots campaign for Assembly is championing progressive policies that will promote justice and dignity for all of us, including a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, comprehensive education reform, and affordable housing. In order to win, we need to talk to tens of thousands of voters across District 64 to spread her message and to hear from voters.
Join DSA-LA to phonebank for Fatima! The campaign will provide all of the training and materials you’ll need to make effective voter contact:
You can also join DSA comrades and fellow union members from UAW 2865, UTLA, SEIU Local 721, SEIU Local 1000, and DSA from up and down the state to make calls to voters in support of Proposition 15, aka The Schools and Communities First Act! We all have a stake in making our state a better place, and talking to voters is how we win. We’ll have training, tools, and solidarity from unionists and DSA members from all over California.

Restaurant Organizing Project— Los Angeles Meeting
|
Tuesday, September 8th @ 2:30-3:30PM
|
Join Restaurant Organizing Project – Los Angeles (ROP-LA) for our weekly afternoon meeting to talk about workplace issues, developments in the LA restaurant industry, and our organizing to transform the industry in LA county!
ROP-LA is a collective of restaurant workers organizing to change how the restaurant industry works in Los Angeles County. Our guiding philosophy is that real material change will not happen until workers stand together and take collective action – against retaliatory bosses, abusive managers, and an industry set up to normalize the exploitation of workers in the front and back of the house. If you work in the restaurant industry and want to learn more about how you can build power in your workplace, join us!
