Dear John,

Everyone is furious about Flock surveillance and, with liberty-minded activists around the country damaging their cameras, "jury nullification" is seeing record discussion! Last week a grand jury refused to indict Cody Morelock of Ohio, and this has been broadly read as nullification. But something we cover in our recent substack article ([link removed]) on the subject is that grand juries have not been approached with the same double-jeopardy protections, so Morelock may still face prosecution.

Because grand juries have become such a prominent site of resistance, we published an article detailing the uniquely dire situation around grand juries in the US ([link removed]) as well as the long history of jurors refusing to be compliant tools of prosecutors.

It's important we not just remember and share the long tradition of jury nullification in this country, but continue research to dig up what has been lost. To that end, and thanks to generous donations, we're proud to announce the first innaugual Jury Conscience History Prize ([link removed]) for graduate students.

But we're not abandoning the streets. Thanks FIJA activists on the ground, we have a new poster design to spread information on nullification. Download your copy today ([link removed])!

Also, if you missed it, last month we talked with Lyn Ulbricht ([link removed]), mother of liberty advocate Ross Ulbricht—who Trump thankfully pardoned last year—about the draconian state of the US prison system, the cruelties inflicted on the incarcerated and their loved ones, and the extreme sentencing guidelines that are often hidden from jurors.

And if you can, help us stay in the fight
