By now, you’ve all probably heard the disturbing report in The Atlantic about our current commander in chief’s alleged remarks about our military service members. As the daughter and granddaughter of proud Americans veterans, we don’t have to tell you how upsetting it was for Brynne to read that story.

Even more upsetting are the words our representative, Tom McClintock, wrote himself: when he called our all-volunteer military “a dismal failure,” said there was a “disconcerting decrease in the intelligence of (military) recruits,” and equated military service with “slavery.”

But it’s not just McClintock’s words -- it’s his actions. He’s voted against protecting war widows and military families from financial hardship. Opposed proper funding for the VA in a time of war. Opposed pay raises for our troops. Opposed funding our military altogether. And he’s been silent as credible reports emerged of Russians paying terrorists bounties for the lives of US troops.

It’s time to hold Tom McClintock accountable -- not just for his abhorrent words but also for his irresponsible voting record. That’s why we wanted to share with you our new ad, “Troops,” and to ask that you pitch in whatever you can to help us get it on the air.
