Here’s the hard truth:

Donald Trump nearly won Minnesota in 2016, and the worst part is, he wasn’t even trying. He wouldn’t stop talking about it at his rally here, repeating “I almost won” and saying the race was “so close.”

He knows how important Minnesota is to his re-election. Our state has the potential to determine who wins the presidency, which means we could make or break his chance at a second term.

That’s why Trump and Pence are shoring up their right-wing base in Minnesota and spending more than $14 million to win. The polls say the presidential race here is locked in a statistical tie. So is ours.

The only way we can stop these guys from keeping their grip on the White House is by working together to defend Minnesota — which is why I’m turning to you today:
