August Wildlife News Collected Just For You.
Wildlife Online

John,

The recent withdrawal of anti-public lands zealot William Perry Pendley’s nomination to lead the Bureau of Land Management shows the power of Americans speaking out for wildlife. The National Wildlife Federation and its western affiliates have led efforts to highlight Pendley’s unfitness to lead the bureau since his appointment as its acting director one year ago. Thank you for supporting our efforts to oppose his formal nomination to lead the bureau, which stewards more than 245 million acres of public lands that wildlife call home. While this is a good first step, Mr. Pendley remains the acting head of the bureau.

This is unacceptable and needs to change. Lend your voice to call for his removal immediately.

Keep reading to learn more about mosquito-eating wildlife, outdoor education, and creative advocacy and why we must strive to keep public lands in public hands, address the climate crisis, and recover our cherished species.

Sincerely,

Tracy Stone-Manning
Associate Vice President, Public Lands
National Wildlife Federation
