Like many of us I’ve spent the last few days grappling with the report detailing Mr. Trump’s unthinkable words about our servicemembers, veterans, and fallen troops.

“Losers.”

“Suckers.”

And saying was repulsed by the sight of our wounded heroes.

When I read these words from our Commander-in-Chief about our great military, I knew had to act.

I shaved, grabbed my father’s dog tag recovered almost 40 years after he was shot down over the Ho Chi Minh trail during the Vietnam War, sat in front of my phone in my office, and recorded a two-minute video straight from my heart to Mr. Trump’s ears:

Not long after I finished recording, the incredible Gold Star families I work with on the great VoteVets team day in and day out to fight for the memories and honor of our loved ones, started sending videos of their own.

Within a few hours, we launched a new ad, together, in response to this failed Commander-in-chief who still refuses to push back against the Russian bounty operation.

Now our ad has been seen millions of times, our message delivered to millions of Americans: that our fallen loved ones are not losers or suckers for sacrificing in the name of service to our country. That’s the power of this team.
