Texas is hurting.
Over Labor Day weekend, our state was devastated with yet another mass shooting. A man went on a shooting rampage along a highway in West Texas near Odessa, killing at least seven people and injuring 25 more, including a 17-month-old child and both of the Hernandez siblings.
15-year-old Leilah Hernandez just celebrated her quinceañera in May. Her mother is mourning her death while still waiting for updates on her 18-year-old brother Nathan, who is currently still fighting for his life after trying to protect his sister during the shooting.
We mourn for those we’ve lost, we pray for the injured, and we keep the families and loved ones impacted by this tragedy in our thoughts.
But we know that thoughts and prayers aren’t enough, which is why this campaign is fighting every day for gun safety.

We can’t allow guns to continue to hurt our communities and those we love. The NRA is bribing lawmakers like Henry Cuellar with donations to keep gun laws loose. The NRA’s only concern is for their own members — and their bottom line.
