With the September Encuentro around the corner, SFA needs YOUR help to make it happen! NEW VIDEO: Support young leaders traveling to Immokalee, FL, this month for the #2019Encuentro! With the September Encuentro around the corner, SFA needs YOUR help to make it happen! Donate here to support the Encuentro, and inspire a new generation of young leaders to take action in the Fair Food Movement. We’re less than one month out from the SFA Encuentro, and the Student/Farmworker Alliance can’t do it without you! On September 26-29, 2019, dozens of young people from across the country will be gathering in Immokalee to learn about Fair Food history and strategy, and most importantly, dive into concrete plans to turn up the heat in the Campaign for Fair Food, including expanding the Wendy’s Boycott on college campuses this fall. Today, we bring you a quick missive, with SFA’s irresistible fundraising video (click here to check it out!) – acted and put together by Immokalee’s own talented young people – and SFA’s call for support. Please donate here and share the link far and wide! … Year after year, for over a decade now, the Encuentro has served as a community space for hundreds of young people to cultivate a critical analysis of the corporate food industry and define their power in the struggle for farmworker justice. This year, we are focusing heavily on developing the organizing skills of our network and crafting a unified strategy to escalate the Wendy’s Boycott on campuses across the country. Find out how YOU can invest in the next generation of Fair Food leaders!
