Help the ocean earn a voice 🎙
Hi there,
I wanted to reach out and introduce myself. I'm Mindy Ramaker, the Creative Producer behind Lonely Whale’s new podcast 52 Hertz [[link removed]]. I joined the Lonely Whale team this past spring, and like so many people during these times, haven't been able to meet my colleagues in person. 🙈
But despite the circumstances, I've been reminded of two things:
How important it is to have deep and meaningful connections with other people (even if it’s virtual!)
How storytelling and shared experience can help us translate that connection into meaningful action for our ocean
52 Hertz was created with this in mind, to help us connect with you, and you to each other. I'd like to think that during this time of social distancing, the podcast can help us all find community and come together over the issues we care about.
This first season shares inspiring stories from people around the world fighting for the future that they want to see. Producing each episode and hearing Petrice Jones' amazing conversations has really made me see that environmentalism is about much more than conservation—it's about the people behind the movement and the people most impacted by the climate crisis. Remembering our own humanity is crucial as we work to improve the health of our planet.
