** Kitchen Table Tuesday
------------------------------------------------------------

Educating and connecting with voters on important issues.

As your representative, I am committed to defending the fundamental principle of Fair Play in Women's Sports. For decades, female athletes have worked tirelessly to achieve equality, making it a matter of protecting the important rights owed to women under Title IX. We must guarantee that these hard-won opportunities are preserved, which is why I firmly believe that women athletes deserve to compete on a fair playing field.
.

To safeguard these opportunities, my goal in Congress is to support the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act to prevent biological males from competing in female athletics. This crucial legislation will provide positive protections and ensure that the integrity of women's sports is maintained. By standing up for this act, we can guarantee that every young woman in our district has the chance to compete, excel, and be recognized fairly for her dedication and hard work.

The Devastating Impact of Job Losses and How We Must Respond
.

According to a recent Chicago Tribune article, Tyson Foods announced the devastating closure of its beef processing facility in Joslin, Illinois. This massive shutdown—spurred by nationwide cattle shortages and mounting industry losses—will result in the termination of approximately 2,500 local workers and send a massive economic shockwave throughout the state's agricultural and manufacturing sectors. The loss of these jobs highlights the terrible toll that a fragile economy and a hostile business environment can have on hardworking Illinois families who rely on steady employment to survive.
.

While families across the state are losing jobs and struggling to get by, Democrat incumbents like Sean Casten have failed the hardworking people of Illinois. Sean Casten is inept for the job he currently holds, pushing for increased spending on nonessential programs that benefit people in foreign countries while forgetting about hardworking American families. Instead of focusing on policies that benefit everyday citizens, Casten is more concerned with his own political survival by satisfying the radical elements of his party. His failures to rein in wasteful spending have even earned him the "Big Spender" designation by the National Taxpayers Union. Under this failed leadership, everyday Americans are forced to deplete their savings just to get by.
.

Niki Conforti understands that we are working harder for less and has a clear plan to help the residents of the 6th Congressional District. Niki plans to take direct action to provide relief and create jobs by focusing on initiatives like:
.
* Stimulating Economic Growth: Passing legislation to stimulate economic growth and business activity. Niki will work to stimulate the return of manufacturing to the 6th District to get people back to work.
* Expanding Job Training: Expanding workforce training programs. Aiming to help connect hard-working Illinoisans with good paying jobs.
* Stopping Tax Hikes: Niki opposes tax and fee hikes on Illinoisans. She will work to curb the spending in Washington and stop tax increases on working families.
* Lowering Costs: Pushing for legislation that cuts regulations in the energy industry. This will make energy more resilient and more affordable for local households and local businesses.
.

We cannot afford to let Illinois continue losing industry and jobs at a quickening pace. It is time for a representative who puts the district first and fights for policies that support our workforce and protect our wallets.
