Hi John,
Life on Earth wouldn't be possible without plants, but their importance is often overlooked. Globally nearly 16,000 plant species are at risk of extinction, although only 11% of the total has even been assessed. In the United States more than 900 plants are endangered, and 70 are waiting in line for protection.
The Center is hard at work to protect these fascinating plants across the country, from its deserts to its rainforests and swamps.
Join me on Thursday, Sept. 10 for our next Saving Life on Earth webinar to learn more about the Center's work to save endangered plants and how you can help.

The presentation will feature our Hawaii Director Maxx Phillips and Ileene Anderson, a senior scientist in our Public Lands and Urban Wildlands programs.
The hour-long webinar starts at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET. Register here and check your email for the link to join.
