I'll admit that I made a tough decision. But some people said I was crazy retiring from a 30-year music career to run for Congress in South Texas. They said a Tejano singer had no shot at winning in TX-15.

Well, they were wrong.

I saw families struggling with higher costs and broken healthcare. I saw politicians who'd come around at election time and ignore us year-round. I saw an opportunity to overcome the odds and deliver for my people.

So, of course, I made the leap. And now comes the hard part.

We're on the verge of flipping this district from red to blue. The latest poll shows me ahead of my Republican opponent in a district that Trump won by 18 points in 2024.

But my opponent Monica De La Cruz has a war chest worth millions that she's already using on nonstop attacks.
