Team,
I know, I know...another political email--one of probably what feels like a hundred in your inbox right now. I know that it's a lot, and yeah, probably a little bit annoying.
But bear with me, because here's what else I know: If you're getting hit with a lot of emails right now, it's because you're engaged.
You've signed up for updates from presidential candidates, national and state parties, and maybe a few non-profit organizations.
You're involved because you're someone who cares about the future of our country -- and with the horror show that is our politics right now, that's no small feat. So team, before I say anything else, I want to say thank you.
Everyone is asking you to open your wallet right now because the stakes are so high. Our democracy truly cannot stand another four years of the chaos of this White House.
Maybe you've given to a presidential candidate this cycle. Maybe you've given to a few. Today though, I'm asking you not to forget about organizations like ours.
Here at Battleground Texas, we're laser focused on registering as many voters as we possibly can ahead of Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020. In fact, right now, we have a goal of registering 50,000 new voters in Texas before the primary.
Texas is right on the edge of becoming a truly competitive swing state, and if we do, it would change our national politics forever.
Republicans cannot win the White House without winning here. If they lose Texas, they'd struggle to hang onto their Senate majority, and their minority in the House would shrink even further.
Basically, winning in Texas is a tide that lifts all boats -- and we're doing the work to make it happen every single day.
But we can't do this without you. We're in the final hours of the quarter, and the money we raise right now will determine how many voters we can add to the rolls for the rest of the year. Please consider chipping in whatever you can right now:
