A new dark money group is sending swing state voters unsolicited and fake mail ballot “applications” that contain manipulated photos of Joe Biden and disingenuous attacks on his platform -- all in an effort to convince voters to support Donald Trump.
All kinds of dark money groups are working to grow Trump’s 2020 campaign war chest and increase the president’s chances at re-election -- the Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan watchdog group, has filed a complaint with the FEC alleging Trump’s campaign has laundered tens of millions of dollars through companies connected with Trump’s former campaign manager.
This is extremely troubling. Trump and the RNC “raised” almost twice as much as Biden and the DNC in July, and the Trump campaign has just launched a multi-million dollar digital ad buy designed to smear Joe Biden and misinform voters before the election. At this rate, Trump will bury Biden in illegal dark money long before voters hit the polls.
